Gandaki Province confirms 16 new coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Gandaki Province has reported 16 fresh cases of coronavirus on Sunday morning.

According to a press statement released by the Gandaki Provincial Health Directorate this morning, additional infections have been seen in four districts of the province.

A total of nine people have been infected in Baglung, four in Myagdi, one in Tanahun and two in Parbat. One of the infected is a woman and the rest are men.

According to the health directorate, preparations are being made to take all of them to the isolation in the respective districts.

As per the latest details, the number of cases in Gandaki Province has reached 504.

Earlier on Saturday evening, coronavirus infection was confirmed in 50 people in four districts of the province including Mustang.

A total of two people from Tanahun, 29 from Baglung, 18 from East Nawalparasi and one from Mustang were confirmed to have coronavirus infection last evening.
