Food, exercise and high mental health key in battle against COVID-19: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has said that food with medicinal values, exercise and high mental health are keys to fight against the pandemic of coronavirus.

In a message of best wishes delivered on the occasion of the 6th International Yoga Day today, he further said the goal of healthy Nepal could be realized by only focusing on doing yoga exercise and the consumption of food with medicinal values.

The ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’ is the national target of the government, the PM said, adding the citizens with physical and mental good health and wellbeing was the foundation for realizing the national target.

PM Oli urged all to adopt the Yoga exercise as a lifestyle towards attaining good health.

July 21 has been globally marked as International Yoga Day after the United Nations started celebrating the day.

“Yoga should be made a part of human life to lead the society through a healthy, happy and positive psychology,” he noted, stressing that the day celebration should be trickled down to enhance public awareness on the importance of yoga and its simple methods.
