Defense Minister Pokhrel calls UAE counterpart Al Bowardi

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokhrel held talks with his UAE counterpart Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, the Minister of State for Defense Affairs of UAE on coronavirus impact and cooperation between the two friendly nations.

In a telephonic call today, Minister Pokhrel discussed with his counterpart about impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the significance of coordinated and unified efforts to curb its impact.

They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The two ministers also discussed about strengthening defense and military cooperation between the UAE and Nepal.

They agreed to further nurture the mutual interests of both countries.
