COVID-19: RDT intensified in Sindhupalchowk

SINDHUPALCHOWK: Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) for coronavirus has been intensified in Sindhupalchowk district.

The anti-body test targeted those returning from abroad after March 13 has so far covered 237 people and the entire results came negative, according to district’s senior public health officer Durga Dutta Chapagain.

The test is undergoing at 12 local levels including three municipalities in the district.

Presently, there are no people in isolation in the district. Earlier, eight persons suspected of contracting the virus had been kept at isolation and have been already sent back to homes after their throat swab samples reports tested negative.

The test was conducted at the Teku-based National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu.

A total of 21 people are in quarantine in Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality-7, Melamchi, Bahrabise, Sunkoshi and Tripurasundari, the office sources said.
