Cabinet meeting to discuss plight of daily wage workers



KATHMANDU: A meeting of Council of Ministers to be held at the Prime Minister’s residence Baluwatar on Monday is likely to discuss on managing and addressing the plight of the daily wage workers hit-hard by the lockdown.

According to Surya Thapa, Press Advisor to Prime Minister KP Oli, today’s meeting is expected to thrash down the complications in managing the workers who are on the way to their home districts on foot.

It should be noted that hundreds of workers have been walking for several hours from Kathmandu and elsewhere to reach their homes.

Likewise, the meeting is also expected to address the plights of the workers who are stranded in different places of the country.
