National Assembly session adjourned indefinitely

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) has postponed its meeting indefinitely.

Likewise, sessions of various legislative bodies at the federal and provincial levels, too, have been postponed indefinitely fearing the spread of COVID-19.

The meeting of the NA called for Friday afternoon will not take place.

It should be noted that a meeting of the Parliamentary Business Affairs Committee had on Thursday decided to defer the House sessions till next March 26.

Likewise, sources say that the government is likely to recommend the President to end the current session of the Parliament citing coronavirus fears.

Provinces 1 and 2 have also adjourned the assembly indefinitely.

Likewise, the Bagmati Provincial Assembly has also been prorogued on Thursday.
