KATHMANDU: Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali has reiterated that the much-talked-about US-proposed Millennium Challenge Corporation 500 million grant does not hold any military component.

Minister Gyawali said this during a meeting with lawmakers of the ruling Nepal Communist Party in the National Assembly on Monday.

The lawmakers discussed and sought clarification over the MCC issue with Foreign Minister Gyawali.

He clarified that the MCC is neither related to the Indo Pacific Strategy nor has any military component in it while expressing the confidence of endorsing it through the parliament.
