POKHARA: Pokhara Metropolitan City has closed its office for a week except for essential ones starting from Friday after over two dozens of its staffers tested positive for Covid-19.

The service-seekers have been requested not to visit the Metropolis office unless they have emergencies as the Metropolis’s office will be shut down until November 27 to stem further spread of the coronavirus.

Metropolis’s Spokesperson Dhan Bahadur Nepali shared that Deputy Mayor Manju Devi Gurung along with the staffers from different departments contracted the flu-like infection.

Spokesperson Nepali further said, “We have issued a notice informing the public about the closure of the Metropolis office except for essential services due to Covid-19.”

Likewise, the Department of Livestock in the Metropolis has been closed indefinitely after its staffers had been infected with the coronavirus.
