Dr. Bhattarai picked JSP Federal Council’s Chairperson



KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has made Dr. Baburam Bhattarai the Chairperson of its Federal Council on Tuesday.

Today’s meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the party picked former Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai to the post.

JSP has got two Central Executive Committee Chairmen—Mahantha Thakur and Upendra Yadav.

Prior to unification, Dr. Bhattarai was the Federal Council Chairman of Samajbadi Party Nepal, but after unification, he was hailed as merely a senior leader of JSP.

JSP claims to have adopted democratic socialism and ethnic federalism as its motto.
