Coronavirus-infected woman dies in Rupandehi



TILOTTAMA:  A woman infected with coronavirus has died in the course of treatment at Butwal COVID-19 Special Hospital on Tuesday morning.

The woman,44, from Butwal Sub-metropolis-11 underwent a PCR test at the laboratory of Lumbini Provincial Hospital on Monday after she had respiratory complications.

The patient was being treated on ventilator after her swab sample report came positive. She was pronounced dead at 5:10 am today, said Dr Bishnu Gautam, the information  officer for the hospital.

She was also suffering from diabetes, according to Gautam.

With this, the number of deaths linked with the coronavirus has reached 35 at Lumbini Provincial Hospital.
