NCP Secretariat meeting underway at Perisdanda



KATHMANDU: A Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is underway at Perisdanda on Sunday.

The central Secretariat meeting has been called to implement the decisions of the Standing Committee (SC) meeting held recently.

The Secretariat meeting was postponed for today due to the celebration of Constitution Day,

Chairman duo Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal in a meeting on Wednesday had set the date for the Secretariat meeting.

The SC meeting held on September 11 had made decisions on various issues including the government’s performance, party organization, general convention of the party, border disputes, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), terms of reference of two chairmen, coronavirus control and prevention among others.

NCP Chairman KP Oli and Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda attend the Secretariat meeting at Persidanda.

The meeting will dwell on the implementation of these decisions.

The Secretariat meeting is taking place at Perisdanda in Koteshwor, the central party headquarters of the then CPN (Maoist Center).

NCP is holding its meeting at Perisdanda for the first time following the unification between the two communist parties.
