 28-yr-old youth dies from coronavirus in Rajbiraj



RAJBIRAJ: A 28-year-old man has died from coronavirus in Saptari district.

The deceased is confirmed to have died from the COVID-19 after his swab report tested posthumously came out positive on Wednesday night.

The swab report had been tested through PCR method at the laboratory of Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj.

Pneumonia-ridden youth, who was first admitted to Rajbiraj-based Chhinamasta Hospital for treatment, had been referred to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan after his condition deteriorated.

Originally from Rajbiraj municipality-4, the patient was pronounced dead by doctors as soon as he was taken to the Institute on Tuesday evening.

The youth’s body was taken back to Rajbiraj and his swab had been sent to Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital.

His last rites were performed in Rajbiraj itself.

His swab report came out positive on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, the family members and those who came into contact with the deceased have been kept in self-isolation.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached four in Sapatari district.
