Achham flood: Six out of 23 missing retrieved, 3 identified



ACHHAM:  Six bodies among those missing in the Kailashkhola in Ramaroshan rural municipality in Achham district have been recovered.

District Police Office, Achham said, three among those recovered have been identified.

According to DSP Yogendra Singh Thapa of DPO, Achham, the recovered bodies have been identified as Gauri Shah, 24, Chandra Saud, 52, and Nabin Saud, 12, of Ramaroshan rural municipality-5.

Two bodies were recovered from Mangalsen municipality-3, one at Mangalsen-10, two at Bannigadhi-Jayagadh rural municipality-8 and one at Ramaroshan rural municipality-4.

The body recovered on the bank of the river is headless, added Thapa.

As many as 23 people went missing after the flooded Kaishalkhola entered Sainibazaar area in Ramaroshan rural municipality in Achham district on August 19.

A joint rescue team from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force are searching the missing people.
