16 APF personnel test positive for coronavirus in Pokhara



KASKI: As many as 16 security personnel stationed at the Armed Police Force (APF) Battalion in Pokhara Metropolitan City have been infected with the coronavirus.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development on Wednesday evening, 16 APF personnel were confirmed to have been infected during PCR tests at the laboratory of Regional Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara.

Earlier, the coronavirus infection had been detected in security personnel at District Police Office, Syangja.

Out of 29 security personnel who came to stay in quarantine in Pokhara, 16 tested positive for coronavirus, informed Health Division Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City Hari Lal Acharya.

Similarly, eight people were found infected with coronavirus in Baglung of Gandaki Pradesh.

With this, the number of infected with coronavirus has reached 1,812.
