Coronavirus kills 688,054, infects over 14.6 million across world

KATHMANDU: More than 14.6 million people have been infected due to coronavirus pandemic across the world.

With 220,073 coronavirus cases in a single day on Monday, the number of infection cases has reached 14,640,326 so far.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, 4,316 have died in the last 24 hours, taking the death tally to 688,054 globally.

Until this news was prepared this morning, the number of people recovering from the coronavirus has reached 8,730,348.

Coronavirus has killed 199,087 in European countries, infected 2,669,381. Meanwhile,1,588,788 have recovered from the deadly virus.

North America has witnessed 196,611 deaths from coronavirus as of Monday morning.  A total of 4,569,147 have been infected of which 2,213,129 have recovered from the deadly virus.

Similarly, 79,895 have died and 3,397,328 have been infected from coronavirus in Asia. Meanwhile, 2,411,453 have recovered.
