Nepal Police Inspector arrested red-handed with bribe



KATHMANDU: An Inspector of Nepal Police has been arrested red-handed for taking bribe from a contractor.

Inspector Ram Balak Raya of Bhimfedi Area Police Office was arrested along with the kickback.

A police team deployed from the Province Police Office, Hetauda, arrested Inspector Raya while he was taking Rs 12,000 bribe from contractor Durga Lama.

According to police, Inspector Raya was arrested from Sagarmatha Hotel at Bhimfedi-6 on Saturday morning. It is said that he had been asking for money from the contractor Lama before.

The police office is preparing to hand over Inspector Raya to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority after conducting further investigation into the incident.
