Karnali hosts ‘Combat COVID-19 E-Conference’

SURKHET : The first e-conference of ‘Combat Covid-19 MWU Expert Panel (CCMEP-2020)’ was conducted in Karnali today. The conference was focused on analysis of COVID-19- 19 scenario and its trend.

In the beginning of the conference, Mid-West University’s MICD professor Dr Dinesh Bhuju spoke on objectives of the conference.

University’s Vice-Chancellor Pro Dr Nanda Bahadur Singh spoke about the current situation of COVID-19 and the University role to respond to it.

Engineer Dr Ram Acharya’s gave his presentation, with highlights on impact of COVID-19 in current situation, its upcoming impact, challenges and possibilities while TU Physics Prof Dr Narayan Adhikari and Nepal Open University’s epidemiologist Prof Dr Sujan Babu Marhatta focused their presentations on strategic plans about the disease and new innovations related to it.

Speaking at the concluding session, NAST Vice Chancellor Dr Sunil Babu Shrestha and Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Dr Sanjay Sharma said the crisis had motivated everyone for new innovations and research.

NAST Prof Dr Ganga Shrestha said the theme of the conference was relevant, calling for generating new ideas and methods to tackle with the crisis and face its future consequences.

The conference was jointly organized by the panel formed by the University and NAST. RSS
