COVID-19 patient of Aathbis had spent 45 days in quarantine



DAILEKH: The man who tested positive for coronavirus in Aathbis Municipality of western Dailekh had spent 45 days in quarantine in Dailekh prior to be rescued the Municipality quarantine.

The inhabitant from Aathbis Municipality, and a returnee from Agra India, had spent 45 days before he was rescued by his home Municipality in western Dailekh.

According to Parba Singh BK, the ward Chairperson of Ward No 1 of Aathbis Municipality, District Public Health Office Dailekh had sent an ambulance and a team of medics to fetch the patient and isolate in District Hospital.

Ward Chairperson BK informed that previously they had rescued 53 people from Kanchanpur out of which there were 39 people from Aathbis-1 alone.

Others rescued together with him included eight from Thatikandh, four from Thakurdwara Municipality and one each from Chamunda Bindrasaini and Dullu Municipalities.

He added that while rescuing from the Kanchanpur-based quarantine, the RDT test of these people was conducted on 10:1 ratio.

“Back here, we had tested all 39, and 38 came out with their negative result in the PCR test,” he said.

He informed that despite the negative result the 38 people are also kept in the quarantine.
