Thakre of Dhading sealed over COVID-19 fears



DHADING: Jungekhola of Thakre Rural Municipality-8 in Dhading district has been sealed after a person was tested positive for coronavirus in the locality.

Chief District Officer Aasman Tamang said that the area has been sealed till May 24 from today.

He shared that a meeting of the District Security Committee and local people’s representatives held today decided to seal the area at Dharkekhola bridge in east, Aathkila mode in west, Maheshkhola in north and Uduwadevi Basic School to the south.

The infected person of Thakre runs a business in Bagbazaar of Kathmandu. The person, who arrived in the village on March 24, had returned Kathmandu on April 10.

A team comprising ward chair, health workers and security personnel has been formed for contact tracing the people who came in contact with the infected one.

Similarly, 114 people in Dhadingbesi, 75 in Gajuri, 35 in Galchhi and six in Jwalamukhi underwent RDT test on May 18 and six persons tested positive for coronavirus in RDT tests.

Swabs of those who tested positive in RDT would be collected and sent for the PCR test.
