Four suspects held by locals in Sindhuli SBI Bank robbery



KATHMANDU: Four people involved in the robbery of Nepal SBI Bank in Ghyanglekh Rural Municipality of Sindhuli have been detained by local residents.

According to police, locals apprehended the four suspects from Sukachuri in Ward No. 1 of the same rural municipality and informed the police. A police team is on its way to the area after receiving the information.

The robbery took place at around 7:45 pm on Tuesday at the Ghyanglekh branch of Nepal SBI Bank.

Sindhuli Police said the robbers tied up bank staff and attacked the security guard before carrying out the robbery.

Police have confirmed that Rs 31.1 million was looted from the Ghyanglekh branch.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
