COVID-19: Four, out of 31, recover in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Four people, out of the 31 coronavirus-infected ones, have recovered in Nepal.

One infected youth, 21, has been discharged on Sunday after his second and third reports came negative, Dr Bikash Devkota, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed.

He was being treated at the Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadi.

He was diagnosed with the coronavirus on April 4. He arrived in Nepal from India.

Dr Jagadish Joshi of the hospital has also confirmed that the youth from Lamki Chuha-9 of Kailali district has been discharged today.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, two patients — one in Kathmandu and another in Baglung — were discharged from the hospitals after being declared recovered.

It should be noted that the country’s first coronavirus infected person was discharged some two months back.
