Pakistani hiding in Chanauta, Kapilvastu nabbed

CHANDRAUTA: Kapilvastu Police has arrested a Pakistani national living secretly in Chanauta of Shivaraj Municipality, Kapilvastu and kept him in a local quarantine on Sunday.

According to the information from the Police Headquarter, a team of police deployed from Ward Police Office Chandrauta arrested Pakistani national hiding in a house at Chanauta.

According to Inspector Dipesh Kharel, the in-charge of Ward Police Office Chandrauta, Saiid Noman Basarad, 36 had come to Nepal 3 months ago.

Basarad, a Pakistani national from Mirpur district, had been living in the house Rahim Musalman at Chanauta.

“After getting the notice that a Pakistani national was hiding in Chandrauta, the police raided the area to nab Basarad,” Inspector Kharel said, “we are investigating the cause of his coming and living there.”

Kharel told Khabarhub that Basarad is kept in the quarantine made in the Leather Factory at Shiva Raj Municipality.

District Administrative Office Kapilvastu sources informed Khabarhub that he had come to Nepal on Jan 21 and his visa has expired on Sunday.

“The investigation is going on to find the details about him,” DAO source said.
