The inspection was also aimed at checking whether those centers are following social distancing or if they were providing shelter to outsiders.

The temples, madarsa, church and monasteries in Godawari were inspected on Saturday, said Mayor Gajendra Maharajan.

“We had gone to see how many people are staying in those centers and if they were practicing social distancing,” he said. Nobody was found hiding in those centers.

The Madarsa in Godamchaur in ward no. 1, monastery and church in ward no. 3, Santaneswar in ward no. 13 and the Bajrabarahi temple in ward no. 11 were inspected.

The visiting team led by Major Maharjan suggested the people in those institutions adopt preventive measures including social distancing.
