8 people at mosques in Bhaktapur test negative



BHAKTAPUR: Eight people residing in various mosques in Bhaktapur have been tested negative for coronavirus, said the district administration office.

Following confirmation of some Muslim people for the virus in Birgunj and Udayapur, tests have been conducted at Bhaktapur hospital at the initiative of the district administration office, said Chief District Officer Hum Kala Pandey.

The people who have been tested for the infection were taking shelter at a mosque at Jagati and Jaiuper Mas an Allah mosque and a Jair Arkam Madarasa at Bode.

They were tested for the virus through a rapid diagnostic test.

So far, 400 people have been tested negative for the infection through RDT and polymerase chain reaction at the hospital and of them, reports of 10 are awaited, said medical superintendent of the hospital Dr. Sumitra Gautam.
