POKHARA: Boom..! Boom…! The continuous sound of explosions of bombs used in the course of constructing the Pokhara International Airport has not only terrorized the locals of Pokhara but also has left their houses cracked.

According to locals, a total of 150 houses based in Pokhara Metropolitan City-14 have developed cracks due to explosions.

“Stop detonating bombs, use excavators,” complains Hira Thapa of Haweli Marg, adding, “There are children and the elderly at home. Explosions cause panic to them.”

Airport Project Management, however, says that it started constructing the airport after taking permission from the District Administration Office, Kaski and the ward 14 where the under-construction international airport is based.

The airport builders started using explosions since last 10 months.
