Dr Bhattarai admitted to Gangalal Hospital after cardiac pain



KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Federal Council of Samajbadi Party, Nepal Dr Baburam Bhattarai was admitted to Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, Kathmandu  on Wednesday  evening after he complained of cardiac pain.

Dr Bhattarai who reached the hospital at 7 pm yesterday has undergone tests including angiography. All the test results have shown nothing bad. Hence, preparations are underway to discharge Dr Bhattrai, his personal secretary Roshan Pokharel told Khabarhub.

“Dr Bhattarai reached the hospital after he complained of cardiac pain on Wednesday evening,” said Pokharel, adding, “All the medical reports are good and he is being discharged today.”

A team led by Dr Chandramani Adhikari carried out tests on Dr Bhattarai.

According to Dr Adhikari, the cause of discomfort felt by Dr Bhattarai was heart muscle pain which is caused when it does not get enough oxygen-rich blood.
