KATHMANDU: A case has been filed against a Sub Inspector of Police Mukunda Prasad Upadhyaya (Dhakal) on the charge of getting promoted presenting a fake academic certificate.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed the case against him at the Special Court on Wednesday.

The anti-graft body has accused Upadhyaya of presenting a fake academic certificate of Bihar Sanskrit Education Board, Patna.
