Dahal rules out possibility of merging Banke, Bardiya in Karnali



SURKHET: Chairperson of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said no discussion was held to merge Banke and Bardiya districts in Karnali State for the time being.

Talking to media persons at Surkhet airport on Wednesday, Chairman Dahal said although geographical adjustment could be reconsidered in State territory, it was not possible immediately.

The NCP Chairman mentioned that the federal government should address Karnali in a special manner in course of framing policy and program

Mentioning the party’s State gathering had raised the issue that Karnali State should be specially addressed in the next policy and program and budget, Dahal shared that the party would give necessary direction to the federal government on this matter.
