Threatening journalists by diplomatic mission condemnable: FNJ



KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has said that its attention has been drawn to a statement issued by the Chinese Embassy in regard to an article published in a newspaper.

Issuing a statement, the umbrella organization of Nepali journalists said that the act of a diplomatic mission of threatening journalists was condemnable.

FNJ has also demanded respect for the constitutional rights of journalists.

The media fraternity and social media users have come down heavily on the statement issued by Embassy on the coronavirus-related article published by The Kathmandu Post.

The Kathmandu Post, an English daily, published a feature article headlined ‘China’s secrecy has made coronavirus crisis much worse’ in its recent edition.
