Govt committed to MCC ratification: Foreign Minister Gyawali



KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Wednesday remarked that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact will be endorsed through Parliament.

Talking to journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival from Bangladesh visit, Minister Gyawali said that the government was committed to MCC ratification.

Minister Gyawali, who is one of the members of the task force formed by the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), said the task force will only study the Compact.

He added that the task force has been mandated only to submit a report.

The ruling party had formed the task force to submit its report with recommendations on the Compact.
