MCC will serve Nepal’s interest: NCP Spokesperson Shrestha

BAGLUNG: Spokesperson of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Narayan Kaji Shrestha has asserted that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) would contribute positively to the nation’s interest.

He said that it would be endorsed from Parliament univocally.

In another context, Shrestha said since the former UML and Maoist had become history, the party could no more be operated on a division.

Speaking at a program in Baglung today, NCP Spokesperson Shrestha said the party would pick a candidate for the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives on the basis of competency.

He also expressed the hope that the Deputy Speaker Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe would resign to pave the way for the party to secure the post of a Speaker.
