9th Literature Festival to take place on Dec 29-30

KASKI: The 9th Literature Festival will be organized in Pokhara on December 29-30.

The Festival will be organized virtually amid ongoing COVID-19 risk, said the organizer Bookworm Foundation at a press conference here on Saturday.

“Voices from various quarters in favor of continuing it amid the infection risks resulted in a decision to organize it,” said the Festival’s director Ajit Baral.

All sessions of the Festival would be aired lived through social networking sites or the official YouTube of the Festival said Baral.

This edition of the Festival will have 16 sessions and more than 40 speakers from various walks of life including litterateurs, authors, journalists, and artists.

To be sponsored by IME Group, a business conglomerate, the Festival this year would help promote Pokhara, a famous tourist destination, at the national and international level, he said.
