COVID-19: Province 1 witnesses 65 new cases



BIRATNAGAR: Province 1 witnessed 65 new cases in the past 24 hours when 670 got discharged after recovery from various isolation centers here on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, out of 531 swabs tested in various labs here, 65 came out with coronavirus positive results.

The Ministry informed that 21 people in Morang, 19 in Jhapa, 17 in Sunsari, two in Ilam, and one in Sankhuwasabha have tested coronavirus positive recently.

In the meantime, five swabs from outside the province tested in Province 1 also came out with coronavirus positive results.

Likewise, 662 people in home isolation and eight people in Koshi Hospital’s COVID 19 Treatment Center have been discharged today after recovery from coronavirus making the number of recovered cases here 25,060 till date.

The province has got 29,295 coronavirus cases till now.

One male of Jhapa succumbed to coronavirus today making the total coronavirus death toll in this province 455.
