KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has held a meeting with Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa following a meeting with Nepal Communist Party Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda.

Prime Minister Oli went to Minister Thapa’s official residence at Pulchowk, according to PM’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa. In the meeting with Thapa, Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Basanta Nembang were also present.

Oli met with Minister Thapa at Pulchowk on the way back to  Baluwatar following the meeting with Prachanda. He had returned from Khumaltar after NCP Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam turned up in the meeting with Prachanda.

The meeting held between the two heavyweights at Prachanda’s residence in Khumaltar had lasted for almost for two hours.

Gautam and Thapa are in decisive roles to thrash out the ongoing intra-party dispute of the ruling NCP, said political experts.
