Barahi Temple reopens after nine months

POKHARA: Barahi Temple, the main religious and tourist hub of Pokhara City, has reopened for people in general after nine months.

Situated in the middle of Phewa Lake, Barahi Temple which  had been shut down since the last nine months due to COVID-19, has opened. Only the priest of the temple was performing puja at the temple during the closure.

“Barahi Temple has opened after nine months,” said Hikmat Bahadur Kunwar, the chairman of the temple management committee. With the reopening of Barahi temple, the devotees will now increase and contribute to the promotion of the religious tourism, said Kunwar.

The devotees have to use sanitizers, wear masks and maintain social distancing while visiting the temple.
