3,442 temporary voters registered in Nawalpur



NAWALPARASI: A total of 3,442 temporary voters have been registered in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Sustapur) Nawalpur for the upcoming House of Representatives (hOr) elections. These voters will cast their ballots under the proportional electoral system.

According to Lal Prasad Sharma Bhusal, Chief of the District Election Office, Nawalpur, a temporary polling center has been set up at Shiva Namuna Secondary School in Kawasoti Municipality-2. Employees deployed in the election will vote from this center.

The temporary voter list includes individuals whose names appear on the regular voter list but cannot vote at their designated polling station due to deployment in the election or other valid reasons.

This includes employees of the government, provincial and local bodies, government-owned organizations, army, police, prisons, security personnel, and office bearers of constitutional bodies.

Nawalpur has a total of 268,526 registered voters across two House of Representatives constituencies. Constituency No. 1 has 65,982 male voters, 71,098 female voters, and one other voter, totaling 137,081 voters. Constituency No. 2 has 63,072 male voters, 68,370 female voters, and three other voters, totaling 131,445 voters.

The district will operate 114 polling stations in Constituency No. 1 and 311 polling stations in Constituency No. 2, including one temporary polling station. A total of 1,879 election employees have been mobilized across all polling stations.
