Kathmandu Valley registers 1,229 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,229 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 965 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 75 in Bhaktapur, and 189 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,103 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 215,020 with fresh cases as of Thursday afternoon.

A total of 2,858 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 185,638 in the country.

Nepal currently has 28,106 active cases.

Likewise, 767 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 17 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,276 the Ministry confirmed.
