Health Ministry warns action against govt hospital refusing free treatment for COVID-19

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has warned to take action against hospitals designated at COVID-19 hospitals if they refuse to provide free treatment.

The ministry said in a statement that some of the hospitals designated for coronavirus treatment have not provided free treatment and had directed such hospitals to provide free treatment.

The ministry has made it clear that the hospitals will be provided with funds for free treatment.

The Ministry of Health has stated that the test and treatment of symptomatic patients will be free but the sum will be deducted from the insurance amount if the patient has been insured for the coronavirus.
