Communications Minister Gurung appointed govt Spokesperson



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has been given the responsibility of the Spokesperson of the government.

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting held on October 15.

Gurung becomes the fourth Spokesperson during the tenure of Prime Minister KP Oli.

After the resignation of the then Communications Minister Gokul Banskota, the then Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada was given the responsibility of the Spokesperson.

After the resignation of the Finance Minister, Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali was appointed as Spokesperson.

Minister Gurung has been given the responsibility of Spokesperson with effect from Monday.

Earlier, Gurung was appointed as Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens.

Gurung has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Communications after the Cabinet reshuffle on October 15.
