COVID-19 death toll reaches 11 in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: As many as 11 persons have died of coronavirus in Rautahat district so far.

With two new deaths on Sunday, the death toll has reached 11, District Health Office, Rautahat said.

The Nepal Army has managed the bodies of the deceased in two separate places.

A team of Nepal Army has managed the bodies in Bagahi of Katahariya Municipality-7 and Madhav Narayan Municipality-7.

A 70-year-old man from Katahariya-7, who died while undergoing treatment at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj, was cremated by an army team at Bagahi village on Saturday evening, said Brigadier General Samanta Dhwaj Khand.

Similarly, the body of a 70-year-old woman of Madhav Narayan 7, who died in  the course of treatment at Chitwan Medical College, was laid to rest near her village.
