Septuagenarian succumbs to COVID-19 in Dharan



SUNSARI: A 78-year-old man has died from coronavirus in the  course of treatment at  BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in  Dharan.

The septuagenarian succumbed to the virus at 3 am today, Dr Ashish Shrestha,the deputy spokesperson for the hospital said.

Originally from Itahari Sub Metropolitan City-20, the elderly had tested positive twice for the coronavirus.

His swab sample report had come out positive on October 4 for the first time. The coronaviru infection was seen in him when he underwent a PCR test on October 18 again, said Dr Shrestha.

It is not yet known whether he had any chronic  ailments.
