COVID-19: Province 1 adds 59 new cases, 71 discharged



BIRATNAGAR: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 59 people in Province 1 on Saturday.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, 32 people were infected in Morang, 22 in Sunsari, four in Jhapa and one outside the province on Saturday.

According to the ministry, ten men have been found positive in Ratuwamai, one woman and six men in Biratnagar and four women and one man in Budhiganga of Morang.

Similarly, three women and one man in Katahari, one woman and two men in Dhanpalathan, one man each in Pathari Shanishchare, Belbari and Jahda have tested positive.

A total of two women and seven men in Itahari, seven men in Ramdhuni, one woman and five men in Dharan of Sunsari were also confirmed to have coronavirus infection on Saturday.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, four men have been infected in Biratmode, Jhapa and one man outside the province.

With the new cases, the coronavirus tally in the province has reached 5,496.

As many as 71 people have been discharged in Province 1 on Saturday.
