NC General Secretary Koirala discharged from hospital



KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC) Dr. Shashanka Koirala has been discharged from Om Hospital.

Koirala was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after his health condition worsened due to the coronavirus.

During the four-day hospital stay, Koirala was treated by a medical team led by Dr. Viswanath Koirala, Senior Consultant Physician of Om Hospital.

He was also diagnosed with pneumonia and had tested coronavirus positive on September 8.

He wrote on Facebook today, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the sisters and brothers, leaders and activists, journalists, and the medical team of Dr. Vishwanath Koirala for their regular concern and good wishes for my health condition.”

 He also said that he would rest in home isolation for a few days as per the doctor’s advice.
