Coronavirus cases reach 1,779 in Gandaki Pradesh, with 14 fresh cases



KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus cases in Gandaki Pradesh has reached 1,779 after 14 new cases were reported on Wednesday morning.

According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh, the newly infected are 12 from Nawalparasi East and two from Tanahun.

The new cases were confirmed during PCR tests at Regional Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara and Bharatpur Hospital, Chitwan, said Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the Spokesperson for COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh.

Preparations are underway to take the infected to the isolation of their respective districts, added Sharma.
