Three more held for burning national flag



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three more individuals on the charge of burning a national flag of Nepal.

Police on Tuesday arrested a person in burning the national flag. With this, a total of four people have been arrested on the same charge, SSP Dipak Thapa of Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu said.

A music video showing a group of people setting a national flag of Nepal on fire had been uploaded on August 17.

According to SSP Thapa, now 6 to 7 people are yet to be arrested. Their identities have been ascertained, he added.

Police said they are investigating the case by keeping the arrested into police custody of Metropolitan Crime Division, Teku.

The scene in the music video was set at Bishnu Basic School in Salleni of Bagmati rural municipality-3.
