Tibetans protest outside UN complex in Geneva



GENEVA: The Tibetan community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein has demonstrated outside the UN complex in Geneva to highlight the deplorable human rights situation in Tibet.

The called upon the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to intervene and take immediate action against China for perpetuating human rights violations against Tibetans,” said Jampa Samdho, a member of Tibetan Parliament in exile.

They said that Tibetans in Tibet are undergoing hard times under the Chinese rule.

The International Campaign for Tibet has also urged European Union leaders to use the opportunity to demand improvements on human rights in Tibet as well as to reiterate their call for reciprocal access to Tibet.
