US Embassy organizing ‘Virtual Concert’ at 6 pm Friday



KATHMANDU: The US Embassy in Kathmandu is organizing a virtual conference ‘Bringing Communities Together’ at 6 pm on Friday.

According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, the virtual concert will be an exemplary program run in collaboration between Nepali and American community aimed at nurturing the community level friendship between the countries together with fostering hope and good health in the pandemic-panicked communities.

Friday’s virtual concert will feature Dibesh Pokharel, alias Arthur Gun, with his special performance. Pokharel rose to popularity as the first runner-up of American Idol’s 18th season. He is a Nepali-American singer and musician.

Together with Pokharel, there will be performances from Nepali singers Swapna Suman, Trishna Gurung and Samriddhi Rai.

In addition to the musical performance of the popular singers, there will be the message of hope, good health and togetherness from US Ambassador Randy W. Berry, Public Health Expert Dr. Aruna Upreti, and Fashion Icon Prabal Gurung.

The program will go live via US Embassy’s Facebook page at 6 PM.
