18 quarantine escapees test COVID-19 positive in Kailali



DHANGADHI: Coronavirus has been confirmed in 18 people who had escaped from a quarantine center in Gauriganga Municipality-1 of Kailali district.

Panic has gripped the village after 18 people who ran away from the quarantine at Pashupati Secondary School at Gauriganga-1 were confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.

The Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi had confirmed the infection in the 18 people of Gauriganga Municipality on Wednesday.

According to Ward Chairman Jagatram Chaudhary, 18 out of 50 people who escaped from the quarantine on June 12 have contracted coronavirus. Out of them, only two have been kept at the isolation center.
