NA approves proposal on bill



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the National Assembly (NA) on Friday approved a proposal for consideration of the ‘Bill Replacing the Ordinance Designed to Preserve the Existing Provisions of the Nepal Act By Abrogating Some Ordinances, 2077 BS’.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs , Dr Shivamaya Tumbahamphe had presented the proposal which has been approved unanimously.

Nepal Communist Party (NCP)’s lawmaker Thagendra Prakash Puri and Nepali Congress’ lawmaker Prakash Pantha took part in the deliberations on the principles of the bill.

Earlier to this, NA chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina read out the letter received from the Office of the President and related to the authentication by the President of the Constitution of Nepal (Second Amendment) Bill, 2077 BS.
