‘One ward, one gym center’ in Tokha Municipality



KATHMANDU: Tokha Municipality in Kathmandu is to construct one gym center in each its wards.

The municipality is gearing up to construct gym centers to release the tension of coronavirus pandemic as well as for the development of sports sector.

Mayor Prakash Adhikari stated they are going to construct gym centers in all wards targeting youths, women and children in order to relax the coronavirus tension.

He said there would be a meditation center, a yoga center and spaces where different types of games would be played in the gym center.

The municipality would allocate budget for the same in the coming fiscal year 2020/21.

The municipality as also set a target to construct some gym centers within a year while some others within a couple of years.
